Firstly
well done to Francesca Sargent who qualified Bellevue Royal Prince in the 15hh WHP for the RIHS at BSPS Wales.
Emma Wilde has been having a very successful time. John Doe-W was 2nd Int SH at NCPA Open. At NCPA Staffs he

good show...........email is below.....well done Chloe, it is well deserved as she has put all the work into Ashley herself.
Just to let you know how Chloe and (Synod) Ashley did at the weekend. They managed to get through
to the evening performance in both the Heritage Novice WHP and Heritage Restricted WHP classes and achieved 2nd place in each,
getting through to the Championships, but unfortunately not getting placed in either. On
Sunday they competed in the Junior Riders Heritage WHP and achieved a 5th place (probably would have achieved better if she'd
have warmed up first and managed to jump a practise fence!) But a great weekend albeit very muddy was had by us all. Thanks
Nikki and Chloe

Our
Area BSPS show ran well all things considered after Solihull Riding Club let us down with their outside arena. Apologies to
all of you who couldn't compete in the cancelled classes, but we could see no other way around the dilemma. Health and
Safety has to come first!!
Thanks to all of our judges and stewards, our course builder and Sarah Smith for manning
the collecting ring. Don't forget our Summer show at Solihull which will run with the full range of classes on the grass
arenas in May!! Anybody who is interested in young judges/stewards/course builders please contact my Mum-Nina Peake on 07774228298.
Please get in touch with me with your news, I will be at a lot of the summer shows, so don't be afraid to stop me and
tell me how you've been doing.
Well I think thats everything there is for this month, although I'm sure I've forgotten something!
See you all soon

Maria Khan has also sent me some news, details are below and it sounds as though they have had a
very successful start to the season.
Our daughter Chelsea Khan had a fantastic start to the season beginning at Rodbaston
Area 10 show with her novice 15hh Show Hunter Pony. Woodrow All Gold or Jinx as he is affectionately known who won the novice
class, the restricted and open and went on to become reserve champ, not bad for 4 year old who was only broken in December.
Then at Area 17 on the 14th March riding her 14hh Show Hunter Pony Bledridge Seabiscuit
or Twiggy as she is known won her class qualifying for RIHS, Blue Riband and Summer Champs then went on to become Champion
qualifying for Champion of Champions. We are very proud of her as she works very hard and has not always had the easiest of
ponies. Well done Chelsea.
March 2010
Hello again.
I have a little bit of news for you this month. Don’t
forget I am now working as an Equine Dental Technician please call me on the mobile number above, it is always best to get
everything sorted at the start of the season so your ponies have no excuses!!
I am now part of the hard working
Area 6 Committee. If anyone is interested in Young Judges as always please get in touch with my Mum- Nina Peake on 07774228298
and if your interested in the young course builders or stewards, please call her about that. Our Area 6 Winter show at Solihull
ran ok although we did have to put up with no warm up area……lets hope its ready for March!!! Don’t forget
our March show with RIHS qualifiers as usual…your entries should be in by now, so if they aren’t send them in
now. We have done very little showing so far this year, but at our Area show Topflight Cavella was 4th Novice Int
WHP and 3rd Rest and Open Int WHP. We also went to a very nice show at Onley Grounds. I jumped Murphy (my old 15hh-now
Mum’s dressage pony) in the Zenith. He was 4th. Tiz (my 14hh) won the amateur riders Zenith and was 2nd
in the 90cm Zenith. Flight won the Novice Intermediate and was 3rd in the mixed height open, 2nd Restricted.
We have done as usual a lot more BSJA. Flight was 2nd Discovery at Solihull 20/1/10, Tiz (my 14hh) was 2nd
British Novice at Solihull 20/1/10, we were beaten by Katy Green and Lute!! Then at Onley 23/1/10 Flight was 1st
1m Amateur, 2nd 1m10 Amateur and Tiz was 1st British Novice and 3rd 1m Amateur…….a
very good day!! Cash jumped a 1m5 in Jan with just one down and is now on a get fit programme until we start and jump him
again when the outdoor season starts in March. Anyway that’s enough about me……….Chris Phillips

if I’ve missed you out I’m sorry or if I’ve got your names wrong I’m also
sorry but you should send me your own news….you will see me around a lot more now, so don’t be shy!
I also
have some very special news this month which has come to me from Mary Allison, I have included her email below…..
I have just returned from the BSPS AGM and felt I had to let all area members who were not there know that
John Nash our retired area chairman, senior judge and steward and great friend to all area 6 members was awarded a Long Service
award at the AGM. Well done John it is very well deserved.
Our January Novice show was
a great success despite the lack of our usual collecting ring, and the hard frost which made the temporary one unusable,
the show ran without a hitch and I would like to thank all the exhibitors who came for bearing with us and I hope you all
enjoyed it as much as we did. Spring Show with RI qualifiers is Saturday 13th March at Solihull. Keep going folks summer
will soon be here. Good luck to you all.
Me and my Mum would also like to say congratulations John!! I have another
bit of news for you all from Mary again, her email is again included below…….
Area 6 are delighted to announce the arrival of a potential new lead rein jockey!
Alfie Greenwood-Dodsworth arrived on 30th January weighing
7lbs 14ozs and surprising mum, committee member and WHP judge, Claire as he was 7 days early. Mother and son are fine
much to the delight of grandma Dot and his parents of course.
Congratulations Claire. I also have a bit of news for you which I didn’t include
in the last News Review. Me and my boyfriend Daniel got engaged at Christmas. So lots of happy news from everyone at Area
6!!! See you all soon, hopefully at our March Show!!!
