What is Young Judges and how do I get involved? Every year at the Summer and Heritage Championships the area has representation from
both a team and individuals in a competition that produces the young judges, stewards and course builders of the future. All
individuals entered must be aged between 18yrs – 24yrs and 14yrs- 21yrs for the team competition. The area provides
regular training throughout the year and is always open to both new people joining and also those who think they could assist
the young judges in their training, if you would be interested please contact Nina Peake. Contact details can be found on
the Contact Us page. How do I get involved in the Area teams? Each year the Area put forward a SP, SHP, WHP,
and Heritage M&M pony team to compete against each other at the Summer Championships and all take part in a spectacular
parade of teams at the show when winning teams are announced and adorned with sashes and rosettes. To be included in this
selection please qualify and enter your Premier League class at the Champs and notify Mary (Area Chairman) of your desire
to be included in team selection. Do Area 6 provide any training for members? BSPS
Area 6 hold a teach-in (training day) each year with a highly respected trainer at a venue usually central to the area. The teach-in takes place in the February half term and includes both jumping and/or flat sections for all ages from
lead rein upwards. If there is enough demand the area are also more than happy to arrange extra teach-ins through the year
within the school holidays. For up to date information on these please see the News page or contact a member
of the committee who will be more than happy to help.

can gain points at shows affiliated to the B.S.P.S. in their various sections for places gained. These
places then are converted to points and added up throughout the year to give the members their end of year points. The points gained throughout the year are then forwarded to Ms Mary Allison for collating and the presentations made
and the end of year ball. For those submitting points they will receive a free ticket for the presentation
ball and also a half price one. Each class in each section has beautiful trophies and rosettes that are presented on the night. All those members submitting points are guaranteed to receive a rosette. It is worth submitting
your points even if you have only one result to record.....you have nothing to lose!!!
